Guinness 0.0 is the alcohol-free version of the iconic Irish stout, brewed at St. James’s Gate using the same natural ingredients as Guinness before the alcohol is gently removed through cold filtration. It retains the familiar dark ruby-red colour and creamy head, with roasted coffee and chocolate notes balanced by bitter, sweet and roasted flavours.
At 0.0% ABV, Guinness 0.0 is designed to provide the familiar smooth and full-flavoured Guinness experience without the alcohol. It is best enjoyed poured into a glass to appreciate its appearance and creamy character.

Appearance:

Black and viscous with a cream colour and texture, smooth and long-lasting head. Pretty damn close to its alcoholic brother. When poured there is the very pleasing agitation from the bottom of the glass that slowly forms the head.

Nose:

Plenty of chocolate and milky coffee. There’s also nuts and faint fresh cherry.

Taste:

N.B. I feel that Guinness is best drunk and most appreciated when larger sips are taken that fill the mouth. This way the flavours come through and, when consumed straight from the fridge, it’s at its most refreshing.

More of the chocolate and coffee, the coffee element being more prominent on the palate. Hardly anything of the nuts or cherry on the palate.
A slight bitterness which is entirely expected and welcomed as it mimics the alcoholic version well. Lovely and smooth with a silky/creamy texture. As the stout is drunk the head coats the glass all the way until the end of the glass.

Finish:

The chocolate and coffee fade slowly and there’s a creamy layer too, rounding everything off nicely.

Overall:

I love this. I love the alcoholic version and, if it wasn’t for this, would really miss it. It’s a very satisfying and beautifully balanced stout, the king.

Drink With:

On its own to really appreciate it.
